Celebrating Seven Years of the 501 Project
By Lanie Carter, President of Arrowhead Design Group
After seven inspiring years, we’re bringing the 501 Project to a close — a program that has been one of the most meaningful parts of our journey at Arrowhead Design Group. Since 2018, the 501 Project has gifted one nonprofit each year with a custom-designed website to help elevate their mission and expand their impact.
What began as a simple idea to give back through what we do best quickly became a cornerstone of our company’s purpose. Year after year, we’ve had the privilege of working with organizations that are truly changing lives — and helping them tell their stories online has been an honor we’ll never forget.
We’re proud to have supported:
- Project R.E.S.T. (2018): Formerly Safe Homes Rape Crisis Coalition, this organization provides comprehensive services to survivors of domestic and sexual violence.
- Determined to Soar (2019): Empowering teen girls through mentoring, leadership, and life skills development.
- Hope Center for Children (2020): Advocating for the safety and wellbeing of children and families across the Upstate.
- Halter SC (2021): Enhancing the lives of children with disabilities through therapeutic horseback riding.
- New Day Clubhouse (2022): Providing a supportive community for adults living with mental illness.
- Hub City Animal Project (2023): Preventing animal homelessness through education, resources, and collaboration.
- Hubitality (2024): Supporting hospitality workers in times of crisis or hardship.
Each of these organizations has made a lasting impact on our team and our community, and we are grateful to have played a small part in their growth.
As we retire the 501 Project in 2025, we do so with deep gratitude — and with a renewed commitment to serving our community in new and meaningful ways. This isn’t the end of our story, it’s simply the beginning of a new chapter. We look forward to what’s next and to continuing to support the people and places that make the Upstate so special.
Thank you to everyone who nominated, supported, and believed in the 501 Project. It’s been a beautiful ride.
