Lanie W. Carter

Lanie Whitaker Carter started Arrowhead in 2016 after realizing most marketing agencies in the area were either too expensive, too bloated, or simply not built with small businesses in mind. She set out to change that—creating a trusted, approachable partner that delivers only what businesses actually need to grow, without all the extra fluff.

With a background in tech (Wodify, NJ) and publishing (Three Dog Ink, NC), she built Arrowhead’s service lineup around the essentials: Web Design, Graphic Design, and Content Creation—crafted for impact, not overwhelm. Her favorite part? The relationships. After nearly a decade, Lanie is most proud of the connections she’s built and the role Arrowhead has played in helping Spartanburg businesses thrive.

As Creative Director at Arrowhead, Kris brings creativity and innovation to life. Born and raised in a big city in Indiana, Kris now calls Spartanburg home, drawn to its small-town feel and sense of community.

Kris has a knack for pushing creative boundaries, earning back-to-back Web Excellence Awards for his video work. Outside the office, he’s always creating—whether it’s writing, drawing, painting, or diving into music. When he’s not working on his next big idea, you’ll probably find him meditating or just kicking back to recharge.

For Kris, creativity is all about staying curious, embracing challenges, and finding inspiration everywhere.

As a Spartanburg local, Davis takes pride in his roots. He studied Computer Programming and Database Management at Spartanburg Community College and UX Design at Clemson University. Since joining Arrowhead in 2022, Davis has designed and managed websites for clients like Spartan Waste, LEL Critical, Unity Bay, and Foam Insulation Company.

In addition to website design, Davis enjoys restoring mid-century modern antiques and searching for vintage treasures at estate sales. In his free time, he volunteers at his aunt’s dog rescue in North Carolina.

Born and raised in Spartanburg, Will Mathis has always had a passion for creativity and design. After graduating from USC Upstate, he joined Arrowhead Design Group in 2023, bringing his expertise in logo design, illustration, and social media to the team.

Now living in Atlanta with his wife, Will works remotely for Arrowhead while embracing the city’s energy and creative scene. He got married in 2025 and continues to find inspiration in coffee shops, movies, and concerts. His love for storytelling and visual communication fuels his work, and he’s excited to use his creativity to help brands make a lasting impact.

Owen brings a fresh perspective and a love for building websites. Starting his journey in marketing automation and email campaigns, he discovered his passion for web design and hasn’t looked back. Before joining Arrowhead, he worked as a freelance web developer, refining his skills and tackling a variety of projects.

Owen’s interest in mid-century architecture and modern art influences his design approach, adding a unique touch to his work. Outside of the office, you’ll find him biking around town, playing his guitar, or relaxing with his wife Delaney and their two cats.
